This tour is located at Quinta do Esteval, Hotel Casa de Palmela, a property on the Setúbal peninsula and nestled within the protected area of the Arrábida Natural Park. The estate has belonged to the Palmela family for many generations, dating back to the 18th century. Its history is extensive, with the main house even serving as a hospital during the French invasions.
Quinta do Esteval has always played a role in safeguarding and preserving the local landscape. Besides forest maintenance, its primary activities include vine cultivation and pastoralism, producing milk for the renowned Azeitão cheese.
Our horses traverse the Arrábida hills across various terrains, ranging from agricultural landscapes to wilder areas.
The tour is led by experienced bilingual local guides. You can also enjoy lessons on the farm led by certified instructors who will quickly make you adept and comfortable.
