Cavalos na Serra are located in Quinta do Esteval (Hotel Casa de Palmela), a property located Setúbal peninsula and inserted in the protected area of Arrábida Natural Park. This property belonged to the Palmela family for many generations. Its origin dates back to the 18th century with a long history, having the main house serving as a hospital during the French invasions.
Quinta do Esteval has always contributed to the protection and preservation of the local landscape. Its main occupation, in addition to the maintenance of the forest, is the cultivation of vineyards and pastoral activities, mainly producing milk for the well-known Azeitão cheese.
Our horses are always ready for a ride, which usually goes through the magic and splendor of Serra da Arrábida and is in close contact with the untouched local nature.
The trails go between vineyards and cork trees, in a green landscape dotted with flowers, rich in unique colours and aromas. The horse rides are conducted by experienced and bilingual local guides. If you do not have any experience in horseback riding, classes are available with certified instructors who will quickly make you fit and comfortable.
